Junior World Rowing Championship rolled off yesterday in Tokyo, Japan and Zimbabwean junior rowers Zimbabwean rowers Rory and Patrick Plunket and Lorryn Bass progressed to the repêcharge stage.
Plunket twin started off their campaign in the 2000m race finishing the first 1000m in just 3minutes 13.93sec behind Australia based rowers Henriques Hamish and Fox Harrison who maintained their top position from start to finish. In 6 minutes 37.77seconds Rory and Patrick were at the finishing line and therefore progress to the repêcharge later this evening.
Lorryn Bass started off her 2000m in the women singles sculls on a low note completing the first 500m on position 4 out of 5 after 1000m she moved one place up to third position, a position that she maintained up until the 2000m mark clocking 8 minutes 12.97seconds.
The junior rowers have all qualified for the repêcharge later on this evening.
