Yesterday Rugby Africa presented its ‘ Unstoppables’ and launched the continental #TryAndStopUs campaign aimed at fast tracking the development of women’s rugby in Africa.
The social media campaign featured 12 inspirational women and girls with Unstoppable qualities and will run over a period of three months, showing the diversity of the continent with ambassadors from Botswana, Cote d’lvoire, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Namibia, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
Over 60 women across 19 Rugby Africa member unions shared their inspiring stories to become one of the “unstoppable” in the campaign.
And Rugby Africa went to raise their profiles and promote women in rugby for a sustained change in the perception and diversity of the sport.
Zimbabwe Rugby Referees Society president, Coach of Match Officials, Zimbabwe Rugby Union board member Abigail Kawonza featured in the Top 12 “Unstoppable” of rugby Africa.
