The Botswana sports fraternity has once again been plunged into mourning following the death of Botswana Cricket Association long-serving chairperson, Ebrahim Bhamjee who was popularly known as “Chicken” in the sporting fraternity.

Ebrahim Bhamjee’s death was also confirmed by Botswana National Sports Commission via their social media channels.

According to CricInfo 69- year old Bhamjee was born in South Africa on 11 September 1951 and played first-class cricket for the Transvaal. From 1971 to 1976 he played as a wicketkeeper that same period he scored 371 runs in 22 matches and took 46 catches.
