Hockey Association of Zimbabwe supported by St John’s College will next week host an online coaching course for beginners.

The virtual course will be conducted via the ZOOM platform will be held on the 13th of February. The beginner’s online coaching course is free of charge.

Speaking to Sports Rifle 724 Tendayi Maredza who is part of the HAZ coaching development committee said that the coaching course is open to anyone who aspires to become a hockey coach.

The course will be facilitated by members of the Hockey Association of Zimbabwe coaching development committee who are Tapiwa Pongweni, Cliff Kaseke, Kanyiwe Tapfuma, Grant Campbell, Dr. Tongai Mukwewe, and Tendayi Maredza.

To register for the course send an email to Deadline for registration is the 10th of February and the course is FREE OF CHARGE.

St John’s College has offered the Hockey Association of Zimbabwe the venue for the facilitators to conduct the online course.The one day online course is divided into two sessions morning session from 8-10 AM mid-morning session scheduled from 11-1PM. And will include topics like roles of coaches and introduction to standard hockey grips.
