Minimum of CAF C license for head coaches with teams participating in the CAF Women Champion League
Confederation of African Football announced that head coaches of the teams taking part in the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League should be holders of at least a CAF C coaching license.
No qualifications requirements have been set out for the assistant coaches and other technical members at the moment.
This will be CAF’s first step towards the standardization of the women’s game. Other changes are expected to happen gradually.
Whilst standardization of coaching qualifications is one of the entry points of club licensing aimed at ensuring that only qualified coaches will be able to train footballers.
