Africa Hockey have announced the postponement of the 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifiers that were set to be hosted by Zimbabwe, Kenya and Ghana this year.
Central Southern Africa qualifiers were going to be hosted in Harare at the newly constructed St John’s College Astro Turf. The tournament was scheduled to kick off from 21-30 August.
Zimbabwe were going to be hosting six countries namely Namibia, Botswana,Zambia, Mauritius, Malawi and Swaziland with the winner’s and runners in both the men and women teams joining South African teams, Egypt (men) and Ghana (ladies) who have already qualified for the African Cup Of Nations.
Revised dates might be in late 2020 or early 2021, reads a press statement written by Africa Hockey this week. Giving Zimbabwe Hockey Association more time to organise and prepare for the qualifiers.
