Zimbabwe national women’s cricket team all-rounder, Anesu Mushangwe was rewarded for an impressive season in Australia after she was named in the Statewide Super Team of the year.

Last year the 25-year old spinner and top-order batsman inspired Glenelg District Cricket Club to earn promotion to SACA Premier Women’s 1st Grade league.

Anesu Mushangwe was incredible with both the bat and ball for Glenelg in the SACA Premier Cricket 2020-21 season. Her performance saw her being named in the Statewide Super Women’s Furst Grade Team of The Year.

Glenelg 1st Grade women team finished 5th in their debut appearance in the Twenty20 campaign. Skipper Mary Waldron, Amber Cloughessy, Jacinta Goodger-Chandler, Lucy Bowering, and Anesu Mushangwe providing some standout performance

Three players from Mushangwe team Glenelg namely Courtney Webb, Jacinta Goodger-Chandler, and Mary Waldron also made it into the Super team of the year

Mary Waldron who doubled as a player and umpire also walked away with the Umpire of the year award.
