Malcolm Evans who served as the president of Bowls Zimbabwe for almost a decade and a half passed away on the 16th of February at the age of 70.

Before he was elected as president of Bowls Zimbabwe Evans also served as the President of City Bowling Club.

Under his leadership, the Zimbabwe lawn bowls team was one of the first African nations to qualify and participate in the World Bowls Championship. Together with his administration, Zimbabwe hosted its first International tournament the International Quadrangular Series.

He was also a big supporter of Zimbabwean hockey.

Evans suffered a heart seizure and sadly passed away.
