Mighty Warriors and Black Rhinos Queen’s player Rutendo Kudakwashe Makore name has appeared amongst the shortlisted 250 players from 85 countries that are part of a survey to determine 50 favourite female footballers.

Makore has played for El Elameyeen FC in Egypt were she emerged as the top goal scorer in 2016. In 2017 Makore was awarded the top goal scorer award at the COSAFA Women’s Championship and later shortlisted for the CAF Women’s Player Of The Year Award, becoming the first Mighty Warriors player to be shortlisted for such an award.

That same year Makore become the second local female player to break into European top flight league after she was signed by Spanish side Sporting Club de Huelva and helped.

The list of the 250 footballers also includes Banyana Banyana captain and vice captain Janine Van Wky and Refiloe Jane, Namibia Brave Gladiators captain Zenatha Coleman, Tabitha Chawinga,Thembi Kgatlana, Barbara Banda, Desire Oparanozie, Elizabeth Addo, Ease Akida, Estellen Johnson, Francisca Ordega, Asisat Oshoala, Gabrielle Onguene and Rutendo Kudakwashe Makore.
