The third Diamond League meeting of the season didn’t disappoint as athletes pushed hard to be in peak form ahead of the Olympic games.
The traditional Rome’s Golden Gala Pietro Mennea track and field athletics meet was moved to Florence from Rome, Italy.

Dutch rising star Femke Bol once again took the 400m hurdle by storm winning the race. Femke clocked the 400m in just 53.44 a new Dutch record in the women 400m women hurdles event at the Florence Diamond League.
Anna Ryzhykova surprised some after she finished second behind favorite Great Britain Jessica Turner. The Uzbekistan athlete clocked the 400m mark in 54.19 a new personal best.
