South Africa hosted the Group IX Inter Africa 2019 show at Penbritte Equestrian Centre where 6 countries competed in 4 different equestrian disciplines which included vaulting, show jumping and endurance.

Sophie Tee who once represented the country in the Summer Youth Olympics in 2014 managed to win a GOLD medal in the individual 110 jump whilst Amy Hay then went on to win the gold medal in the individual jump 120.

The Ladies ended the Group IX Inter Africa with 2 individual medals and missed the first spot in the team category by just one second to Botswana. Overly we finished on position 2 behind Botswana. The ladies success in the tournament is a clear indication that the sport of Equestrian is growing and been supported Zimbabwe.

Team Zimbabwe comprised of Emma Smith,Sophie Teede,Charley Crockart and Amy Hay. Fiona Teede was the team Chief D’Equipe.
