Recently the rowing twins Rory and Patrick who where studying in South Africa were accepted by Harvard University, today we have more good news for Zimbabwe as a junior rugby player has been awarded a scholarship by Stellenbosch University.

Vernon Matongo has played for the Zimbabwe U-13 team during the South Africa Rugby week tournament. After an impressive display in South Africa Matongo left Hillcrest College for Northwood in South Africa in 2015.

Popularly know as the Big V Matongo played for the Sharks U-16 and U-18 team and this year he was appointed as the vice captain of Northwood Rugby team.

Matongo has been awarded a scholarship by Stellenbosch University where he will be studying towards a Bachelor Of Accounting Science Degree.
